![]() Or maybe the guy was just really smart about how he used the effect and made it "feel good". I suspect that since it's a custom engine, it renders at a lower resolution and then upscales to 1080p, instead of rendering in 1080p and lowering to the target resolution, and upscaling again (like the unity shader does). Im really wary of this whole kickstarters switching platforms as we saw with Phoenix Points kickstarter project. The Prodeus are the cliché ancient, highly advanced race, that here is lacking physical bodies, gladly accepting the 'volunteering' human prisoners that were first sent through the gates as hosts. Devil Daggers has this same effect but it works perfectly there. This game started as a Kickstarter project in April 2019 it was advertised as 'the first-person shooter of old, re-imagined using modern rendering techniques.' Prodeus definitely delivers on these claims each of the levels that you will explore in the game is full of narrow corridors and an insane amount of monsters to brutally destroy. The game was crowdfunded by a successful Kickstarter campaign in April 2019. My feeling was that it didn't work well because the underlying render was still generated in 1080p, then downscaled and upscaled again, instead of actually being rendered at a lower resolution from the get go. Prodeus is an indie first-person shooter video game developed by Bounding Box. This looks really cool congrats! Will there be an option to turn of the heavy pixelation? Only because while watching the trailer I found it really hard to focus and it gave me a slight headache.Īgreed. I did some tests with this shader on Unity before, and while it sounds cool on paper, it ended up being just a distraction.
